Straight Unions are typically fabricated from stainless steel, super duplex stainless steel, brass, or carbon steel based on application demands. Super Duplex Stainless Steel Straight Unions have 24-26% chromium, 6-8% nickel, 3-5% molybdenum, nitrogen, and manganese, providing exceptional corrosion resistance and strength. They provide a yield strength of 550 MPa, tensile strength of 750-800 MPa, and elongation of 25%, which makes them extremely strong under high pressure. With a density of 7.8 g/cm³ and superior resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, these fittings function well in aggressive environments.
