Titanium Ball Valves are generally constructed of Titanium Grade 2 (commercially pure titanium) and Titanium Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V). Grade 2 is 99% titanium, which has good corrosion resistance and average strength, and Grade 5 is 90% titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium, which has increased strength and heat resistance. The valves possess tensile strength of 345 MPa (Grade 2) and 895 MPa (Grade 5) with densities of 4.51 g/cm³ and 4.43 g/cm³, respectively. Their density is low, melting point is high (1,660°C), and oxidation resistance is good, rendering them suitable for hard conditions.
