Stainless Steel 310 Ball Valves consist of iron, chromium (24-26%), nickel (19-22%), and trace amounts of carbon, manganese, and silicon. The chromium and nickel content in high amounts improves resistance to oxidation and severe temperatures. SS 310 has a tensile strength of around 520 MPa, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 40% mechanically. Physically, it is 7.9 g/cm³ in density, with a melting point of 1398-1454°C, and high thermal conductivity, thus being appropriate for high-heat uses.
