Stainless Steel Thermowells are typically manufactured from stainless steel grades like 304, 316, and 316L. Their composition includes approximately 18-20% chromium for excellent corrosion resistance, 8-12% nickel for durability, and 2-3% molybdenum (in 316) for enhanced resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. Mechanically, they offer a tensile strength of 515-620 MPa, a yield strength of 205-310 MPa, and high impact resistance. Physically, they have a density of 7.9 g/cm³ and can operate effectively in temperatures ranging from -270°C to 870°C.
