Stainless Steel 347 Needle Valves consist of 17-19% chromium, 9-13% nickel, and 0.4-1.0% columbium (niobium) and offer high corrosion resistance, particularly against intergranular corrosion at elevated temperatures. The valves possess a yield strength of about 205 MPa, tensile strength of 515 MPa, and elongation of 40%, which makes them highly mechanically resistant. With a specific density of 7.93 g/cm³, thermal conductivity of 16.2 W/m·K, and high resistance to oxidation to 870°C (1600°F), they operate in severe conditions consistently, especially under conditions of high-temperature steam and chemicals.
