Stainless Steel 316 Hydraulic Fittings are made up of iron, chromium (16-18%), nickel (10-14%), and molybdenum (2-3%), which makes them resistant to corrosion, particularly in environments where chlorides are present. SS 316 is mechanically of tensile strength approximately 515 MPa, yield strength 205 MPa, and elongation 40%, suitable for high-pressure use. It possesses the following physical properties: density 8.0 g/cm³, melting point 1371-1399°C, and good thermal conductivity.
